Egypt’s Public Prosecution Office sends a letter to Greece requesting its cooperation in the case.

Late August: No response from Greece

Greece has yet to respond to Egypt’s request, prompting Egypt to send an urgent follow-up request for information and collaboration.

20 September 2023: Greece declines request

During an internal meeting, Egypt’s Public Prosecution Office reports that Greece has declined Egypt’s request, stating that cooperation is not possible “at this time” because the case has been referred to the competent case in Greece.
