Aïcha Baba, representative of a women-led Muslim victims group: “We had expected this since a very long time. We, the victims, wait for reparations to bring us peace of heart, and peace and development for the country. My son was killed by the anti-Balaka, from whom Ngaïssona was the spokesperson. He has to respond for his actions. So many women have lost husbands, children, sisters, and brothers – there are multiple proofs. But the Muslim community is not fond of going to the justice. They often think it is in the hands of God. We did a lot of sensitising [communities] for people to testify.”
